Employers, Organizations & Colleges

Access Continuing Education, Inc. offers organizational billing as a free service for those organizations (such as employers and colleges) who provide continuing education as a benefit for their employees/students. Follow these steps to apply.

  1. Apply to Register: If you would like to offer courses to your employees/students, you can download an application form, or contact us via email for more information.
  2. Approval and Setup: Once approved, you will receive confirmation and two passwords: one for employees/students to use to take courses and one for you to use to track employee/student course usage on a real-time basis.
  3. Invoices and Billing: Invoices for the number of courses used are sent monthly. There is no fee for this service; you are only charged if an employee/student takes a course.

Custom-developed Continuing Education

Access Continuing Education, Inc. staff and trainers have demonstrated excellence in the development of training materials and delivery of educational materials in multiple formats. We can tailor-make a program just for your facility's needs. We develop training programs on a broad range of topics for multiple audiences. We can provide training that works for you. How about a specific online training program developed specifically for your staff's training needs? What about training in print format? As an employer, do you have a goal of training your staff in specific content areas? Is there mandatory training that must be provided to your staff? Frequently Asked Questions

I keep getting an error message when I try to register for a course, help!

An error usually occurs when a computer is set not to accept cookies from a website. To correct this click on "Tools" from the menu bar when your Internet connection is open. Select "Internet Options" and then select "Privacy". Look at where your cookie settings are. Move the slide bar down to "Allow all cookies" and click "OK". After you register and your test is graded then return to this page and reset your cookie setting where it was.

If this does not fix the problem you can always email for further assistance.

Can I get continuing education (ce) credit for the courses I take at Access Continuing Education, Inc.?

To learn if Access Continuing Education, Inc. provides continuing education credit for your profession, simply return to our home page, click on the State for which you need a course(s) and then select the course. Then, click on the menu link for "Continuing Education Credit" for information regarding which professions receive continuing education credit and how much continuing education credit for each specific course. Do this for each course you take. Please remember that all courses taken through Access Continuing Education, Inc. have been approved to meet the mandatory requirement by each specific State with the mandatory requirement. The continuing education credit applies only to any professional's continuing education requirements that are in addition to the specific mandatory course.

How can I print/order a copy of my Certificate of Completion?

You can print as many copies of your Certificate as you need. You can print multiple copies at once or come back at a later date to print more. It does not matter what computer you use to print your Certificate. To print your Certificate:

  1. Click on "My Access Records";
  2. Once on the "My Access Records" page follow the instructions in the "Print My Certificate from the Access CE Tracker" box located in the center of the page.

You can order a copy of your Certificate by email. Please include your name, address, phone number, title of course and approximate completion date.

*NOTE: the Certificate we send you will be EXACTLY THE SAME as the one you can print off the Internet.

Can I get a record of all the courses I've taken at Access Continuing Education, Inc.?

You can get a record of all the courses taken at Access Continuing Education, Inc. by clicking on "My Access Records." From here you can click on:

  • "Access CE Tracker" to view your transcript;
  • "Modify my registration" to change your address, password, etc.;
  • "Request my password" and your password will be sent to you via e-mail;
  • And, you can also view and print your Certificate(s) of Completion from this page.

How will I get the state mandatory credit for having taken a course at your site?

All courses taken at Access Continuing Education, Inc. have been approved by the specific legal or regulatory body in the State with the mandatory continuing education requirement.

After successful completion of the course, you can print your Certificate of Completion to provide to the State as verification of meeting that requirement. In select states Access Continuing Education, Inc. has the ability to electronically submit the results to the required State entity. If your state offers this feature it will be predominately displayed on the State page and on the first page of the course(s).

How do I know if I'm required to take a specific course in order to become licensed or certified in a specific state?

You will need to contact the licensing board for your profession in the state in which you are seeking licensure or certification. They provide information about their specific continuing education requirements for specific professions.

For which states do you provide state mandatory continuing education?

Currently Access Continuing Education, Inc. provides mandatory courses for New York.

How long does it take to complete a course? Do I have to complete it in one sitting?

The amount of time needed to complete a particular course will vary from person to person, based on reading speed and familiarity with the content, as well as a variety of other factors.

No, you do not have to complete the entire course in one sitting. You can access our courses at any time day or night. This allows you to study the materials at your convenience and also guarantees that you always have access to the most up-to-date version of the course(s). You can begin a course, be interrupted and end your session; you can return to www.accesscontinuingeducation.com at any time and begin again or pick up where you left off.

You do, however, need to complete the course test in one sitting as your answers will not be saved. If you do not want to complete the test online in one sitting, you can print the test by clicking on the printer icon in your Internet browser. This will allow you to complete the test on paper and then you can just log on, enter your answers and pay for the course.

Can I see a course before deciding to purchase it?

Yes. At Access Continuing Education, Inc. you have access to the entire course and you may study the entire course prior to being asked to register, provide secure payment, complete the test and obtain your Certificate of Completion (upon successful completion of the test).

To view a course click on the State for which you need the course(s). Then click on the course title and then on "Continue to Course." From here you have access to all course materials.

How do I pay for a course on your site? Is it secure?

After completing a course test you will be asked to register (new user) or login (returning user) and enter your credit card information. Payment is processed electronically using a credit card (VISA, MasterCard, or American Express). Credit card name, number, card holder name, and expiration date are required for processing.

Once the credit card information is processed, a validation result will appear on the screen and a receipt will be emailed to you. At Access Continuing Education, Inc. we know that you are concerned about the security of using a credit card over the Internet. To this end, we have purchased security certificates so that all information entered on the registration and payment pages is encrypted upon transfer over the Internet.

*Note: your credit card information is not saved to your Access Continuing Education, Inc. record, and must be re-entered each time you pay for a course.

How do I pay for a course with a check?

  • Your name as you want it to appear on your Certificate of Completion;
  • Your mailing address;
  • Your email address;
  • Your phone number (in case of questions);
  • The course(s) you are paying for;
  • Your profession;
  • Your license state (if licensed);
  • Your license number (if licensed).

When we receive your check we will create an online student account for you and email you with your username and password.

*NOTE: if you have already registered for the course(s), please include a note with your check letting us know so we do NOT create a duplicate record.

I was charged/paid for a course more than once. How do I get a refund?

Email, with your request for a refund, name, title of course and the last four digits of your credit card number. .

We process refunds on the day they are requested, but please allow your bank three business days for the credit to show up on your account.

*NOTE: We do not give refunds for completed courses.

I can't remember my username and/or password. How do I get it/them?

Email us with your full name and we will access your record and retrieve that information for you.

I want to offer courses to my employees. Do you offer employer billing?

Yes. Contact us via emailfor an application.

After you are approved an employer record is created and you will be given a facility password that employees can use to log into course(s). You will also have access to a real-time online report of who has taken courses.

What do I do if I don't have a social security number?

In the event a social security number is required for an electronic transfer, enter all zeros to bypass the social security field.

Do you offer courses in other formats?

Yes. In addition to Internet based self-study courses we also offer courses via mail order. To learn if the course(s) you need is available via mail order click on the state you need a course for. From here you will see if the course(s) is available via mail order.

Shipping and handling is $7.95. Coursebooks are sent via Priority Mail.

How do I get my test results?

Once payment is received your test is graded immediately and the results are displayed on your screen automatically. If you pass the test the correct answer is supplied for any incorrect answer given.

After completing an evaluation for the course, you are also given the option to generate a Certificate of Completion. To generate a Certificate click on the "Certificate" button. Print the Certificate using your Internet browser print button.

How do I get help?

What Internet Browser is best for viewing/using your site?

Functionality is best achieved using Internet Explorer. You can download this browser free by going to the Microsoft website, www.microsoft.com. Click on search, enter Download Internet Explorer, then choose the downloads page. From here select Internet Explorer.

Access Continuing Education, Inc. has been approved by the New York State Education Department as a provider of the state mandated courses on Child Abuse, Infection Control and Prevention of School Violence for all New York State licensed professionals. Upon successful completion of these courses your Certificate of Completion is immediately available for you to print AND we electronically transfer your completion information to the New York State Education Department daily at 4:00PM EST. There is no need for you to mail your certificate; we do it for you electronically!
