1: I keep getting an error message when I try to register for a course,
help!
A: An
error usually occurs when a computer is set not to accept cookies from
a website. To correct this click on "Tools" from the menu bar
when your Internet connection is open. Select "Internet Options"
and then select "Privacy". Look at where your cookie settings
are. Move the slide bar down to "Allow all cookies" and click
"OK". After you register and your test is graded then return
to this page and reset your cookie setting where it was.
If this does
not fix the problem you can always email

Or, you can
provide us with your registration information, test answers and a credit
card number for payment and we will manually process your exam for you
and mail you a Certificate of Completion. We accept information via email,

2: Can
I get continuing education (ce) credit for the courses I take at Access
Continuing Education, Inc.?
A: In addition to specific
courses that states may require, there may also be licensure or certification
requirements for certain professionals to complete continuing education
credit in order to maintain licensure or certification in that profession.
Access Continuing Education, Inc. is aware that professionals have
significant competing priorities, making their time very valuable. Therefore,
we are in the process of applying for continuing education credit for
certain professionals in order to provide continuing education credit
for the mandatory course, allowing professionals the ability to efficiently
meet the mandatory course requirement, as well as the requirement, where
applicable, for continuing education credit. Currently Access Continuing
Education, Inc. provides:
- Registered Nurses and Advanced
Practice Registered Nurses - Access Continuing Education, Inc.
is an approved provider of continuing education for nurses by the Vermont
State Nurses Association (VSNA), who is credentialed by the American
Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. See individual
courses for specific credit.
- Physicians, physician assistants
and specialist assistants- in process.
- Social Workers - in process.
- Other profession's accreditation
processes will be pursued.
To learn if Access Continuing
Education, Inc. provides continuing education credit for your profession,
simply return to our home page, click on the State for which you need
a course(s) and then select the course. Then, click on the menu link for
"Continuing Education Credit" for information regarding which professions
receive continuing education credit and how much continuing education
credit for each specific course. Do this for each course you take. Please
remember that all courses taken through Access Continuing Education,
Inc. have been approved to meet the mandatory requirement by each
specific State with the mandatory requirement. The continuing education
credit applies only to any professional's continuing education requirements
that are in addition to the specific mandatory course.

3: How can I print/order a copy of my Certificate of Completion?
A: You can print as
many copies of your Certificate as you need. You can print multiple copies
at once or come back at a later date to print more. It does not matter
what computer you use to print your Certificate. To print your Certificate:
- Click on "My Access Records";
- Once on the "My Access
Records" page follow the instructions in the "Print My Certificate
from the Access CE Tracker" box located in the center of the page.

A. You can get a record
of all the courses taken at Access Continuing Education, Inc. by
clicking on "My Access Records." From here you can click on:
- "Access CE Tracker"
to view your transcript;
- "Modify my registration"
to change your address, password, etc.;
- "Request my password"
and your password will be sent to you via e-mail;
- And, you can also view and
print your Certificate(s) of Completion from this page.

5: How will I get the state
mandatory credit for having taken a course at your site?
A. All courses taken
at Access Continuing Education, Inc. have been approved by the
specific legal or regulatory body in the State with the mandatory continuing
education requirement.
After successful completion
of the course, you can print your Certificate of Completion to provide
to the State as verification of meeting that requirement. In select states
Access Continuing Education, Inc. has the ability to electronically
submit the results to the required State entity. If your state offers
this feature it will be predominately displayed on the State page and
on the first page of the course(s).

A: You will need to
contact the licensing board for your profession in the state in which
you are seeking licensure or certification. They provide information about
their specific continuing education requirements for specific professions.

8: How long does it take to complete
a course? Do I have to complete it in one sitting?
A: The amount of time
needed to complete a particular course will vary from person to person,
based on reading speed and familiarity with the content, as well as a
variety of other factors.
A: No, you do not
have to complete the entire course in one sitting. You can access our
courses at any time day or night. This allows you to study the materials
at your convenience and also guarantees that you always have access to
the most up-to-date version of the course(s). You can begin a course,
be interrupted and end your session; you can return to www.accesscontinuingeducation.com
at any time and begin again or pick up where you left off.
You do, however, need
to complete the course test in one sitting as your answers will not be
saved. If you do not want to complete the test online in one sitting,
you can print the test by clicking on the printer icon in your Internet
browser. This will allow you to complete the test on paper and then you
can just log on, enter your answers and pay for the course.

I see a course before deciding to purchase it?
A: Yes. At Access
Continuing Education, Inc. you have access to the entire course and
you may study the entire course prior to being asked to register, provide
secure payment, complete the test and obtain your Certificate of Completion
(upon successful completion of the test).
To view a course click on the
State for which you need the course(s). Then click on the course title
and then on "Continue to Course." From here you have access
to all course materials.

10: How do I pay for a course on your site? Is it secure?
A: After completing
a course test you will be asked to register (new user) or log in (returning
user) and enter your credit card information. Payment is processed electronically
using a credit card (VISA, MasterCard, or American Express). Credit card
name, number, card holder name, and expiration date are required for processing.
Once the credit card information
is processed, a validation result will appear on the screen and a receipt
will be emailed to you. At Access Continuing Education, Inc. we
know that you are concerned about the security of using a credit card
over the Internet. To this end, we have purchased security certificates
so that all information entered on the registration and payment pages
is encrypted upon transfer over the Internet.
*Note:
your credit card information is not saved to your Access Continuing
Education, Inc. record, and must be re-entered each time you pay for
a course.

check?

Be sure to include:
- Your name as you want it
to appear on your Certificate of Completion;

of questions);
- The course(s) you are paying

- Your license number (if
incensed).
When we receive your check
we will create an online student account for you and email you with your
username and password.

if you have already registered for the course(s), please include a note
with your check letting us know so we do NOT create a duplicate record.

than once. How do I get a refund?

We process refunds on the day
they are requested, but please allow your bank three business days for
the credit to show up on your account.

After you are approved an employer
record is created and you will be given a facility password that employees
can use to log into course(s). You will also have access to a real-time
online report of who has taken courses.
Invoices for the number of

you offer courses in other formats?
A: Yes. In addition
to Internet based self-study courses we also offer courses via mail order.
To learn if the course(s) you need is available via mail order click on
the state you need a course for. From here you will see if the course(s)
is available via mail order.
If an order form for mail order
is not available email
or call us (518) 209-950 to have a coursebook and exam prepared especially
for you. The fee for a custom mail-order coursebook is the cost of the
online version of the course plus $25.00. We will give discounts for the
purchase of multiple special order coursebooks.
Shipping and handling is $5.95.
Coursebooks are sent via Priority Mail.

do I get my test results?
A: Once
payment is received your test is graded immediately and the results are
displayed on your screen automatically. If you pass the test the correct
answer is supplied for any incorrect answer given.
After completing
an evaluation for the course, you are also given the option to generate
a Certificate of Completion. To generate a Certificate click on the "Certificate"
button. Print the Certificate using your Internet browser print button.
